After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Mazzer Mini, new burrs.
After 6 years and approx 250kg of beans I decided it was time to shout the Mazzer Mini a new set of burrs.
Ordered a set of OEM from Coffee Parts $66, as usual they arrived within a couple of days (excellent service)
Removing the old burrs and cleaning the grinding chamber was simple and fast, make sure you use a good quality correct size screw driver with an undamaged blade to prevent slipping and potential damage to screw heads.
Installing new burrs and reassembly was just as quick and easy, adjusting the grind? set it back to the mark I was using for the old burrs, choked the machine, wound the adjuster up by 5 increments resulted in a very nice shot, up another five, perfect Lungo, the whole job took less than 30 mins at a leisurely pace.
So, it's certainly grinding faster and I'm having to grind 10 notches courser for similar result to what I was getting with the old burrs.
BTW, the new burrs are noticeably sharper compared to the old set.
Is there any difference to what's in the cup? bugger all.
