After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

The grinder cometh

  • Good job on those MOD's!!
  • I had to make a box to transport the grinder safely over to Straddy. A bit of a rush job at the time but since returning I've given it a sand and a wet rub with danish oil. A bit frustrating sometimes using ply as a bit of breakout always happens but putty helps here :D  Rather than having to lift the grinder in and out of the box I decided to sit the grinder on the base and lift the box on / off as it's much lighter than the grinder. The base has M8x1.25 nutserts glued into the sides and the rebate in the base is for the cord. There is no lid ( at the moment) as I don't need to pack anything on top. One day, maybe, if it's needed. Anyway, it does the job, grinder made it there and back in 1 piece. Here is a few pics. When the Danish oil dries I'll post up some more with the grinder in.
  • Geeze you're good!! A++
  • I try not to fly on the face of public opinion Brett  :rofl: :rofl: but truth be told I could have been much neater but was rushing like a madman to get it done before departing for the barge. But your kind words are appreciated.
  • Finger in a bum  :rofl:
