Long black, NO MILK.......

edited January 1970 in Off-topic
My favourite take drink would have to a long black.

I order it with "a dash of cold water" or "with little bit of cold water in it".

Half the time the barista will put in "a dash of cold milk" or "with a little bit of cold milk in it"

I don't know how to ask for it in a way that the barista won't make me a long mac.
Any suggestions?

I now sometimes just ask for a long black then wait 10-15 minutes for it to cool.

  • You ask for a Long Black - No milk please Use and add your own bottled water if it's take away If at a table use there water KK
  • Either you are not speaking clearly, or the barista is deaf. ,! I cannot imagine any reason why a trained barista would put any amount of milk in a long black ! Is this always the same barista ?,...if so simply return the coffee to him and explain his mistake.
  • I order my long blacks the same way, and have never had an issue. I have had them give me some hot water on the side before, but that is as bad as it's been. When in cafes, I usually just add my own cold water from bottle on the table, and rarely order takeaways though.
