First roast with KKTO roaster....omg

Bloody hell,

How easy is this, it took longer to unpack and put it all together than it did to roast my first batch..

Geez KK, could you make it any easier.... ( maybe some instructions to put it together, then it would have only taken 10 instead of 15 mins  )

Roasted the 500 gms that came with the roaster, took less than 20 mins to roast and cool down
( 6 degrees in the shed ).. I think I pulled them just b4 2nd crack.

Will have to make a turbo cooler like galumays etc, with the vacuum tomorrow... But I think I'll be roasting up a storm over the next few days just to dial it in

Yep, they are a great bit of kit. I have made a change to my setup, i found the vacuum cooler was getting too hot and causing problems like melting vacuum hoses, (especially with back to back roasts.). So i got another bucket and used a hole saw to drill lots of holes in it, i suck the beans out of the KKTO with the existing vacuum setup, into the prospectors seive, then lift the seive out, plonk it in the second bucket and place a ceiling fan on top of it to do the cooling. Its slightly more fiddly but works for me. The other recent mod is AM's one of removing the heat guard on the TO and changing the angle of the fan blades slightly.

KK, yes you did and thanks for the reminder.. I'm good with paper, not so good with emails etc... They wouldn't have been needed though, so simple to put together and use  Cheers Wonder Oh and I use my previous turbo bean cooler, I just took the pot out and poured the beans in..but I do like the vacuum setup  ^-^
