Lacehim The brewover has announced a stretch goal of 60k. If they reach their target there is also a stainless steel basket on offer. More details here http://kck.st/1rQoqb2 They are currently at $39k with 20 days to do, so it needs your support if they are going to make it. 🙂
Lacehim Now that the kickstarter project is finished I see they are offering the Brewover for sale 40% off. $94.95 including postage. http://www.brewover.com.au/products/
Lacehim Project update today. Looking good! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brewover/brewover-20-coffee-system/posts/1164074?ref=backer_project_update
Lacehim Still waiting on my Brewover but it's coming closers and just in time for some cold drip as the weather warms up! 🙂 They are shipping soon according to the latest email. :coffee2: Anyone else get one on kickstarter?
Brett_H Good news mate! I missed out due to being excessively busy and missed the deadline. I'm not worried because I reckon these will be a good seller and in plenteous supply... albeit for a not unexpected increase in cost.
Lacehim I just got an email confirming my address so not long now. Really excited about this device. Should be a fun addition to my collection.
Lacehim Yay, only a few weeks away now. The container is at customs, then just have to wait for them to post it to me! 🙂
Lacehim Woohoo! I got a txt today that my brew over was at the local post office! Picked it up tonight, the box is a cylinder. Will post up some photos when I get home and the kids in bed! [emoji1]
Lacehim Bit early for a review. Looks good. The only issue I can see so far is that the plastic base makes the jug wobble about which doesn't exactly scream stability but I haven't use it yet, and with 700gm of water sitting in it the issue may disappear. I've emailed the Brewover team anyway to see if they have anything to say about it 🙂 The box. As boxes go, its rather cool and unique, and well packed inside. Also came bubble wrapped too. Tiny instructions, not for the visually impaired! Well packed Brewover. And finally ready for a wash, and coldbrew overnight. Did you get the idea I'm itching to try it? Anyone else get theirs?

Lacehim Will do. I had one go with the cold brew method and it turned out ok, but I have some decent beans now just for this process. This weekend should be fun! [emoji6][emoji106]
Lacehim I set it up last night. Did the full quota. 70gm coffee, 700ml water which is the 1/10 ratio in the manual. Never done cold drip before! I set the drip to once every 5secs as per manual. Easy to do, but the coffee expanded right up to the nozzle so it was hard to check later if this was still the same. Woke up this am to find it about halfway though the water. Over 12 hours later. [emoji17]. Defiantly not fast enough. Grrrr. Anyone got any experience with cold drip and can point me in the right direction? I assume that if the brew period is too long then it's not going to be right.
Brett_H The dripping mechanism in my home brew brewer needs monitoring because as the water level changes so does the frequency of the drips. I've always found it fiddly but fun and excellent coffee when the stars align. I did 50g/500ml in 10 hours. I haven't used mine in ages but as we're home for Cristmas it seems like a good option. Good luck!

Good luck! i was going to say something similar Brett. You need to monitor it as the flow rate changes based on the volume of water in the top chamber. To maintain the x drips per minute you need to recalibrate every so often. Leaving the calibration as set up initially and not changing it throughout the brew process will result in the drop rate slowing over time.
Lacehim I think the Brewover team suggested 70gm in 700ml water, but the coffee expands to the top of the container and is right up against the tap outlet. You therefore can't see it drip. 🙁 I think I'll stick to 500-600ml and see how that goes. Lovely brew though, even my wife liked it! I had to pack it up because we have just had out house photographed for advertisement, but i'll get it back out this weekend. :coffee2:
Naki_chap Grind a bit finer and level with a very light tamp , I found that worked with mine but still came very close to touching the valve, I set my drip to 1 drip every two seconds to speed things up a bit.
