I doubt their would be many to own their first car at the tender age of 12 yep, I was coming back from my paper delivery on collection day when I passed a petrol station with an old beat up convertible, maybe a 40 something or early 50s Desoto with a sign on it "$50 Runs" I emptied out my pockets with something like 30 odd dollars and the guy took it, I was so small he gave me an old thick phone book to sit on, I could just see but could not reach the peddles! So my little brother laid on the floor and worked them with his hands and we chucked the bike in the back and drove it home.
