After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

apps for ordering coffee

Ive had some interest lately from my customers about an app to order coffee in advance. Quite a lot of my regulars ring and order to save time we use an electronic loyalty card wtich  does save us time and they like using it. I found a couple to look into but would appreciate anyones thoughts.

There is rarely any available parking nearby so using that system has worked for Mark quite well. He knows I work in I.T. So keeps reminding me about the software thinking I would love it but I walk there for a coffee and a bit of fresh air so I like the five minute wait times...

  • could look at 365cups (.com.au?). no experience with them, but was given a card by them at a previous coffee expo.
  • Thanks for that will have a look.   :thumb:
  • Hi guys - am interested to know generally how these [apps for ordering coffee] are going; have noticed Starbucks has introduced one in the US and am pretty sure there was a guys who's introduced an independent one here is Aust. just recently ... any more market intell. about apps for ordering coffee would be much appreciated. cheers A
  • We are about to start using one on monday in our cafe will be interesting to see how it goes.
  • Interested to see how this goes, can suppliers be linked in?
  • Have been crash testing our new pre order app today [ TXT4coffee] will try it out on the customers this week. The owners of the app have been great to deal with so far hope it works out ive been talkin it up all week to my regulars.
  • I just used the app I suggested a few posts up from Chompers Easy as to use So young and old will appreciate its simplicity It has a save your order as a favourite for those that order the same item daily - as in coffee It only offers pay by C Card ( but I did a quick check out ) One is offered a member log in so I am not certain if members or regular customers can pay with cash when picking up the order So a successful use and this first time user is very impressed I also found a link from another thread that may help you http://www.smh.com.au/digital-life/smartphone-apps/best-time-for-coffee-theres-an-app-for-that-20120221-1tkj7.html KK
  • Thanks for that the one iam using you can pay by c card or on pick up and  you can top up your account with cash at our cafe. I would not have taken it on if it was c card only we have customers that are still really sus about paypass so I think you have to give them the choice.
  • agree that CC only would turn off some potential users. having option to top up an account balance is good - could save time and hassle of handling small change
  • Jeff - any updates on how the  txt4coffee is working for  you? Been a while now and there seems to be interest in coffee ordering apps again at the moment
