Quote from scottie: News flash to arrogant sod coffee makers, "So long as you think customers should think the way you do, and drink the drinks you like you are not a barista you are just a coffee maker, get over yourself and realize it's not about you it's about the customer and put passion into every drink you make or step away from the espresso machine!" Not only do parents have every right to expect excellent product and service wherever they go, they are IMHO becoming increasingly discerning where and when they spend their hard earned - its not just a matter of splashing some hot milk in a cup, and being done with it - I've overheard parent groups in my cafe rating cafes based upon their babychinos and customer service, including size of demitasse used to serve the babychino, and the quality and consistency of the milk, and whether or not there is any biscuit or marshmallow served with it! I for one am not in the habit of turning customers away, far from it - we strive to cater for families which includes looking after the young ones, and anyone who's nose is put out of joint by not being happy about providing the utmost level of customer service, shouldn't be in the game - although I understand that some venues are more family friendly than others Went to St Ali yesterday with my two girls and had an Amazing Geisha coffee cold filtered, and although we were the only young family there at the time we were still looked after very well - which to me is the mark of a fine establishment Cheers, ACg
