Guest Barista Stint in Byron

askthecoffeeguy

Hey props these are the dates and times I will be appearing in store making coffee at Cane Bar -the takeaway coffee and juice outlet in arcade in Byron leading down towards the beach (next to Slice Pizza):

6/1 thurs 7/1 fri

13/1 thurs 14/1 fri

From 9am till 11am on eachof the above dates - apparently I'm in the local paper as well - who knew my reach went so deep?

The store also features freshly pulped organic sugar cane juice (thus the name) - which can be steamed with the milk and added to your coffee and it's bloody yum!

So swing by if you are in the area and put my skills to the test!

Cheers, Pat

Thwnksoe - spent the morning yesterday tricking up the machine w the local roaster - 20g baskets as standard, and I adjusted the volumetrics and boiler temps for each of the group heads and had a play around w the steam wand, and adjusted the timing on the Ditting - and it's making fantasic dare I say idiotproof coffee!

Pleased to announce that all is going well - tricked up the machine, adjusted the dosage on the Ditting, and the now reliable volumetrics mean that it's hard to make a bad coffee on this machine - as long as you know what your doing in the first place - also ordered a technics hydraulic tamper from the good folks at Bombora, and I'm looking forward to working the machine again next week I must say it's been a real pleasure working with owners who are willing to invest in their business and in me as a consultant, and seeing the real pleasure they get from tasting the difference in their coffee - now that all systems are go - I've had my fair share of mentors over the years and it's great to be able to give something back - and the best news is that business is if not booming then dramatically increasesd since we conducted staff training and calibrated the coffee machine And most of all it feels good to be able to make a difference Not sure if I mentioned earlier but the address is 4/4 Jonson Street, Byron Bay - downstairs from Hogs Breath Cafe!

Mope - I spent Christmas staying at a beach house just south of Uladulla with 9 adults and 6 kids - who gobbled them all (not the kids) up! Well... I do have a secret stash in reserve - but it's all mine... Mwmhahahaha!
