The biggest issue I think people who currently have 6910's face is how much more they have to spend if they want steaming and shot pulling at the same time. Also, it has a water dispenser, which, if you are used to using, would be something you'd want. If that is important, the cheapest way out (new) is the Nuovo Simonelli Oscar. While this is all well as good, it's ugly as sin and probably wouldn't pass the wife test in most cases after the Sunbeam. BUT WAIT - no water dispenser. This puts you in the BES900 territory, which, on paper, looks good and ticks all the boxes....BUT noone knows yet if it will be reliable or have issues. So if you want a common sense machine that will do EVERYTHING that the EM6910 does then jump to the BZ99...but oh wait, it's ugly too! So you jump up to the Diadema Junior Plus for just over $2000. ... but then you think, maybe I need a PID if I'm spending that much. so you jump to the Minore III with the PID ($2600). But gee, if you are spending that much and having to refill the water all the time, surely the small jump for the plumbable version is worth the extra $600. Give up, and go to the pub.
