Details on Neils site :thumb:

I just ordered 3kgs of each of these: Brazil 'Toffee' Cerrado, Brazil Cachoeira da Grama, Brazil Daterra RFA 'Sweet Collection'

It worked out to free shipping plus a discount! Gotta be happy with that

Apparently a litle birdie had told my father that I would like something to do with coffee for Christmas and he managed to get it right by finding Neils site. He was giong to get me a gift voucher so I could choose my own greens but when that wasn't working he settled on one of these packs. I reckon these packs are a great idea and I have made sure the rest of the family know how happy I was to be given this one!

I'm pretty sure the contents of the sample packs change depending on what Neil has available and my pack came with:
500g Costa Rica Zamorana
Clean with sugar cane sweetness and a lively acidity. Contains notes of orange, chocolate, red fruit and cherries. Medium length.

500g Guatemala Los Caballitos
Notes of raspberries, strawberries and licorice. Sugar browing sweetness. Complex, lasting finish.

500g Kenya Gethumbwini
Full body and rounded mouthfeel with notes of dark ripe fruit such as blackberries and blackcurrants. It shows medium acidity with hints of grapefruit a very viscous and sweet finish.

500g Brazil Santo Antonio
Lemony and zesty. Fresh with medium acidity

Now, the hard part, deciding which two will make it in to the KKTO first...

Hi everyone,
Well, the Costa Rica La Candelilla Geisha is running out the door! Only a handful of Kgs left, so if you want to sample this rare and delightful coffee, don't delay.

Somewhat in shadow of the 'star' Geisha is this little gem:
Guatamala Antigua Finca La Travesia
Clean, medium acidity and body, balanced co?ee with chocolate ?avours, sweet aroma and intense
In cupping, this coffee scored 87.5, and is just delightful, as an espresso or brewed coffee, and is from the same source as the fabulous Colombian Santa Rita.
Green:http://ministrygrounds.com.au/guatemala-antigua-la-travesia-green.html
Roasted: http://ministrygrounds.com.au/guatemala-antigua-la-travesia.html

Hi everyone,
I've been struggling to get here more often and post - hopefully that will change from now on!

We are about to receive the first of a number of very special coffees:

Costa Rica La Candellila - 100% Geisha. (Green: http://ministrygrounds.com.au/costa-rica-la-candelilla-geisha-green.html) (Roasted: http://ministrygrounds.com.au/costa-rica-la-candelilla-geisha.html)
Much has been said about this extraordinary coffee, and it's great to be able to offer home roasters as well as everyone else a chance to try it.

A little later in November, we have three Bolivian microlots coming. In fact, one should probably be called a 'nanolot' as only four bags were harvested! These are cupping extraordinarily well with scores in the 88-90.8 range.
These are from the Estralla farm and the San Juan 8 stars farm

More details shortly.

Cheers

Ministry Grounds Coffee is all about one thing: supplying traceable, ethically-sourced, specialty single-origin estate and small farm coffees of exceptional quality to discerning coffee drinkers and home roasters.

In particular, we are pround to sell many of the extraordinary coffees sourced by Mercanta and bought to Australia by Melbourne Coffee Merchants - including exclusive micro lots and Cup Of Excellence coffees. A special service to home roasters interested in some of the best coffees available in Australia

In addition we roast-to-order any of the beans in stock in a manner designed to draw out the best qualities of each origin, and ship those anywhere in Australia.

To top it off, we carry a small, select range of coffee-related hardware, including Kyocera and Porlex hand grinders, VST Precision Filter Baskets, Coava Disks and the Mahlkonig Vario grinder.

Ministry Grounds Coffee is run by Neil & Robyn Atwood, and we started in earnest early in 2009, but has it's roots back a further 6-7 years, sourcing single bags of green coffee to split between a small group of home roasters (for those who remember Ozgreens!).
An awful lot has changed in that time, but one thing hasn't: Our commitment to quality, honesty, openness and transparency.

We are delighted to sponsor the Crema forum - we love the qualities of knowledge and friendliness shown by participants here and look forward to contributing positively to that.
